Mr. Ajay Nijhawan
CEO
Progress for me has never been a dream. It has always been a distant reality and once one milestone is achieved, there is always another one waiting to be crossed. It is with this belief that I started working as CEO with Art ship and cargo services in 2022, after spending 3 decades + years (1985-2020) in Tata Steel Group.
Earlier With Tinplate Company of India Ltd from 1985-88 and thereafter with Tata Steel in various departments, Raw Materials Commercial, Ferro Alloys and Minerals Division and TKM till 2003. My first brush with a subsidiary company came about in 2003 - 2011 with TM International Logistics Ltd. I was back in Tata Steel fold in the Global Shipping and Logistics Operations from 2011 -2015. My last stint from 2015 - 2020 was with Tata NYK as Executive In Charge India.
I have been primarily associated with Port Operations Chartering of Coking Coal, LimeStone, Iron Ore imports and exports of Ferro Alloys and Steel in my various capacities above. I enjoyed interacting with Ship Owners, Operators, Port Authorities, Brokers, Traders etc while executing my responsibilities.
Looking ahead, we are focused on accelerating the execution of our growth strategy while continuing to build on the strength of our brand—in helping our clients share knowledge and create innovation and in bringing positive change to the communities in which we work and live. I am incredibly excited about this journey and truly believe the best of Shipping is yet to come.
Almost instantly, ART became a prominent name in its business segment, but like every CEO sticks to my dream, I always wanted to push my company to more prosperous milestones. More than being a global player, I always perceived my company as a unit that could make a difference with its quality in services.
